As the sun sets on our recent ITIC Americas 2022 event and we gear up for ITIC UK on 28 April 2022, we are finally looking forward to our first ever ITIC MENA event – only a couple of years later than we had originally planned! ITIC MENA Dubai will take place on 8-10 May 2022 at The Oberoi Dubai.
The ITIC MENA Executive Committee – Ian Cameron (ITIC Chairman), Lisa Fryar (E), Christian Deloughery (Penfield Care), Eva Kluge (UNICAIR), Lara Helmi (Connex Assistance), Khalid Sohail (Zurich), Mamoun Mustafa (International SOS) and Jonathan Cooper (WIS Group – have been working on the agenda for so long, it feels like we know it back to front.
Well over two years in development, with a pandemic throwing us all into chaos during that time, means that we’ve had to make adjustments to the discussions that had previously been planned. However, what is a given is that we are looking in detail at the complexities of providing international healthcare to people travelling into and out of the Middle East and North African region. Developing economies, increasing wealth and a growing awareness of the benefits of travel insurance all combine to provide a wealth of opportunities to insurers and the companies that supply them with their services – from air ambulance operators, to assistance companies and cost containment firms.
On the ITIC MENA agenda is an overview of the healthcare market in Dubai, customer engagement levels and how to increase them, an examination of market trends, distribution channels and partnerships, the rise of cross-border care solutions and the importance of understanding how culture can influence the travel assistance process. All are key issues that further growth of the industry and enable the industry’s top executives in the region to engage in meaningful discussions that drive change and improve product development.
