- Cruising is one of the most popular types of holiday for American customers, and as it resumes at almost full capacity, it’s vital that insurance products are designed with the appropriate cover, and that assistance companies are prepared to work quickly and effectively to manage medical cases and evacuate or repatriate clients where necessary. Federico Tarling of Assist Card, Thomas Lescot of Europ Assistance, and Sean Bryan of Reva, Inc. will familiarise attendees with the availability and quality of care in popular cruise destinations.
- Preparedness is the watchword of the day. Yanni Jota of Aetna, Jose Marchand of FEMA and Edmund Santiago of Redbridge Assist will discuss what have we learned from the pandemic that healthcare, insurers and tourist organisations can take forward to ensure they are not caught off guard next time there is an event with global implications.
- Serge Avice du Buisson of Falck Global Assistance and Victor E. Navarro of Global Excel will focus on how assistance companies can be educated to better understand the complexities of managing an international patient, and what hospitals can do to better understand the complex process of guarantees and approvals from underwriters.
- With skilled assistance staff hard to find, and healthcare employee loyalty being tested by significant financial inducements, it’s fair to say the international travel insurance sector is facing numerous challenges when it comes to staffing. Lauren Gumport of Faye and Daniel Durazo of Allianz Global Assistance cover the current best practices for attracting talent and means of retaining staff.
